I'm Me....Nothings gonna change my world.

Get inside my head...

Recently, I feel like I have learned alot about myself and the people I associate myself with. I have learned that there are some people who say they will be there for you when you need help and actually are. To the people who have been there for me lately, or any time in my life, I would just like to say thankyou and I appreciate you. (especially my parents who always are there for me when I need help)

I have also learned that some people who you think care about you, will leave you high and dry at a time you need them most. Although it sucks when you find out someone you thought you were close with isnt there for you, its a learning experiance and makes you realize whats important.

I know im not perfect, as no one truely is, but I also know that im a good person. Ask any one of the people who really know me and they will agree. I try hard to make people happy and when I do something that I realize is wrong I will be the first to apologize and do what I can to make it better. I do the best I can. If you think im an asshole or just not a good person you obviously dont know the real me.

If you make every effort to show someone you care about them and to make them happy and they dont even make an attempt to show you, then you need to realize there is someone out there who really will care about you and show you the same respect you show them. Even if it hurts for a while there are many fish in the sea and eventually you will be happy with someone who truely cares about you, which is better then being with that person who means the world to you and will hurt you always by not careing.

I got some big plans for my near future and I also have set some goals and am aspiring to new ambitions. I am going to focus on being a good, selfless person and try to make people happy. I feel when the people around me are happy, it makes me happy . I wont regret anything or anyone in my life I will just accept it as an experiance and learn from it. Everything happens for a reason even if it doesnt go the way you planned.

Its summer time now, my favorite time of the year, and life is good. Even though I have problems in my life like everyone else, I will make the best out of it and enjoy the ride. I am happy with who I am and will not change that for no one. I can not put it any better then the brilliant Mr. Joe Dirte` when he says, "Lifes a garden Dig it." You can not let anything bring you down. life is short.

Someone Should Have Told Us

A excerpt By: Chelsea Yerardi (my slizzle)

Someone should have told us of the incompleteness that's left after it all fades away. They should have told us of the holes that would linger long after the story is over; the last page always turned before the conclusion ever fully developed. We didn't know of the emptiness that wandered into the cracks, taking up residence where the former tanants had vanished, where we had left. The furniture still filled the quiet rooms, but our laughter and future couldn't be found under any couch cushions or hidden between the forks in the silverware drawer. The curtains still hung in the windows, but our memories and laughter couldn't be unfolded in the sheets, and no longer oozed out of the soap dispensers. We'd forgotten to put it in glass jars and save it for always. It was a mistake we had realized only now in the somber echo of the footsteps.

The cracks couldn't be filled: they were too deep. Where we had once found it in ourselves to live became just a distant entity that never seemed to promise anything but more lonliness. We pushed on because we had to - becasue the only thing worse than moving on alone was standing on that curb, waiting; waiting for those headlights that woud never turn down that street again, for those stars that would never emerge from the black of the sky, for those voices we had started to forget the sweetness of. So we - in different corners of this circle - walked on. We chose to accept the end as one we didn't have a choice in, as a beginning that would never truly finish. We'd take what we could from it, the left overs, the pieces; pieces we would never fit back together despite how hard we may try. But they were all we had left and we'd cherish them because of that.

Everyone report to the dance floor

Guess whos backk? blogging agian? Dan is back. tell some friends.

It wasnt until recently when my good pal (Cash-monay Kerri) reminded me off my blogging responsibilities that I realized I was just not meeting quota. Its now March 6th and still very cold..I blame the groundhog honestly...Hes just trying to make a statement about global warming and I dont find it humorous at all. Maybe next year I will move somewhere warm and remember good ole New England as a nice vacation spot...that would be nice.

(This is a ground-hog I met once at a local bar. He was a good guy but had a terrible drinking problem!)

Now here is a great recipie:

Ingredients
2 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1/4 cup very finely chopped shallot
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, more if desired
1 tablespoon finely chopped tarragon leaf
3 large egg yolks
1 tablespoon water
1/2-3/4 cup unsalted butter, very soft (I've always used 1 1/2 sticks)
coarse salt
pepper, if desired
lemon juice, if desired

Directions
1Combine vinegar, wine, shallots, black pepper, and 1 1/2 teaspoons tarragon in a small saucepan.
2Cook over medium heat until reduced to 1 tablespoon, 5 to 10 minutes.
3Add egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of water to reduced vinegar mixture.
4Whisk until thick and pale, about 2 minutes.
5Set pan over moderately low heat and continue to whisk at reasonable speed reaching all over bottom and insides of pan, where eggs tend to overcook.
6To moderate heat, frequently move pan off burner for a few seconds, then back on.
7As they cook, the eggs will become frothy and increase in volume, then thicken.
8When the bottom of the pan is visible in the streaks left by the whisk and the eggs are thick and smooth, remove from heat.
9By spoonfuls, add soft butter, whisking constantly to incorporate each addition.
10As the emulsion forms, add butter in slightly larger amounts, always whisking until fully absorbed.
11Continue incorporating butter until sauce has thickened to consistency desired.
12Season with salt, remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped tarragon and, if desired, pepper.
13Add a few droplets of lemon juice if necessary.

And thats a delicous bernaise sauce!

and allll that jazzz

I have recently began playing a new game called Imperial Ages. The new server (3) began January 19th and all players will be restarted from scratch in one year. On the game's blog describes the game saying,
Imperial Ages is a free browser based strategy game, set in the Medieval Ages. There are 4 civilizations to choose from, over 110 military units and 3 ages to advance through. Grow your empire by doing war or building up your cities, it's your choice.

Although I have just started playing, Im already addicted and know ill be playing all year. You can get your game started at http://www.imperialages.com, and who knows maybe you will defeat my civilization one day....

Our minds are lazier than our bodies.

Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought. ~John F. Kennedy

Think for yourself, remember this quote while your casting your ballot this year, or perhaps before you vote. (and do a little research.) This year I have have heard way too many people talk about how strong they feel about their canidate for some less-than-political reason. Dont send a vote out because larry at the bar told you how much better the country would be if Obama won the election, or because McCain's running mate Palin, is real hott. Although it may be a nice change, its not a factor that will save the economy's continuous plummett to hell, or for that matter help the country in any way. How about we all

take an educated swing this year and not let History repeat itself.

Oh, how times are a changin!

I recently helped my father rip down some old walls in the house my Grandmother lived in up until she passed away last December. She moved into this house around 1956, and my Father along with his 5 brothers and sisters grew up in the house. My grandmother is one of those ladies who saves everything, and there was literally decades documents and pictures and books. After the work was done, we began cleaning up alot of the mountain of years and years of memories. From pictures my uncles had painted before they passed away to report cards from there high-school years, I was amazed with my findings. But out of everything, the best treasure I stumbled upon was my Grandmothers high-school year book from 1948. Every male student has on a suit and tie as the females all wore dresses (even the girls basketball team all had sporty-ish dresses on?). I am real happy I found the yearbook and was able to keep it. One day, I hope to have the oppertunity to pass it down to my children. It is unbeliveable how much things have changed from 1948 until now. Compare some facts from 1948,(The year my Grandmother graduated) and the year I graduated highschool in 2007.

1948.

1948 Slowly the fashions were becoming more daring with the Bikini gaining in popularity slowly and the first prefab post war housing to solve housing shortages were starting to appear both in Europe and the USA as they could be built quickly to accommodate the growing need and were cheap to build and for people to buy , the quality was not great but they did enable the baby boom after the war years by providing young couples with a home to start their family. In Europe the cold war took a new turn when the Soviet Union blockaded West Berlin in Germany and the US countered with an 11 month airlift of food and supplies. Also due to demand and inflationary pressure prices rose and many believed that governments should bring back some price controls. And Televisions are appearing in more and more homes.
